# 5.3.2. Super Node

Supernodes are responsible for allocating tasks in the FUNTA network and supervising individual nodes. Supernodes adopt the DPOS consensus mechanism. The number will be stable at 12 when the main network goes online. To become a super node, you need to pledge platform currency. At the same time, in every transaction, individual nodes will allocate handling fee income to the super node in the form of platform currency.
